Recorded: Overdue Podcast (July 2025)

In late May, I joined the hosts of Overdue: Weeding Out Oppression in Libraries podcast. Laree Dominguez and Brittany Young are so collaborative and fun! I had a great time talking with them about my low-morale experience research, collective care, and a practice I’ve been doing as I consider low-morale experience recovery.

The episode has launched, so listen in and consider your own responses to the resonant reflections we share, including:

  • Deflecting workplace abusers’ early attempts to cause harm;
  • The role of privilege in turning away from human distress;
  • Increasing accountability in organizations that enable harm and neglect;
  • Harnessing personal grief/loss as a motivator to help others find community;
  • How fear and scarcity-mindsets interrupt our care and empathy responses;
  • Surfacing awareness of what may activate harmed people to cause harm to others;
  • Engaging in micro-joy practices to enable healthy vibrancy, improved outlook, dignity, and connection.

Are you ready to begin or expand your recovery from workplace harm and neglect? Do you need focused and empathetic support? Let’s set up a Connection Call!
